Krones: a new oven with unprecedented process flexibility
Friday 6 August 2010
From 27 October to 3 November 2010, Düsseldorf will be hosting the world’s premier trade fair for plastics and plastics processing, the K. Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, will be surprising visitors to this sectoral meet-up with an oven concept called FlexWave for the Contiform stretch blow-moulding machine – a new and innovative
heating technology. FlexWave scores primarily with its significantly lower energy consumption compared to the infra-red technologies currently available on the market. It also achieves an unprecedented degree of process flexibility, independently of preform colour, PET material or proportion of recyclate. No other
technology is able to combine the very high penetration, the energy density and the heating speed to such telling effect. The Contiform on show at K 2010, with its FlexWave heating technology, may prove to be the stretch blow-moulding model of the future.
