Types of slicing cuts

TranSlicer 2000® Cutter Slices

Slicing Wheel: 1/32 to 2" (.8 to 50.8 mm)
MicroSlice Wheel: .030 to .240" (.8 to 6 mm)
Crinkle Slices: 1/32 to 2" (.8 to 50.8 mm)
Slicing wheels can be converted to crinkle slicing by replacing the straight knives with crinkle knives. A different shear edge must also be used for crinkle slicing.

Julienne

Julienne: Julienne cuts ranging from 1/2 x 1/2" (12.7 x 12.7 mm) to 2 x 2" (50.8 x 50.8 mm) are produced by using julienne knives on the slicing wheel.

Model OC Bias Flat Slices & Bias Crinkle Slices

Bias Flat Slices & Bias Crinkle Slices: Wide range from 1/16 to 1-3/4" (1.6 to 44.5 mm)
Bias Flat Slices When Specially Equipped With a MicroSlice® Wheel: .030 to .120" (.8 to 3 mm). Consult factory. Requires certified print.

Model CC Flat Slices

Slice thicknesses ranging from .030 to .500" (0.8 to 12.7 mm) are produced when a flat slicing head is used.
Standard Crinkle Slices:
3-1/3 waves to the inch; depth of crinkle is .080" (2.0 mm).
Slice thicknesses from .040 to .285" (1.0 to 7.2 mm); Centers: .300" (7.62 mm).
.175" Crinkle Slices:
5.7 waves to the inch; depth of crinkle is .084" (2.1 mm). Slice thicknesses from .040 to .285" (1.0 to 7.2 mm); Centers: .175" (4.445 mm).

"V" Slices

.125" (3.2 mm) Slices have 8 complete "v's" to the inch.
Depth of "v" is .050" (1.3 mm). Slice thickness ranges from .040 to .100" (1.0 to 2.5 mm); Centers: .125" (3.2 mm).
.212" (5.4 mm) Slices have 4.7 "v's" to the inch. Depth of "v" is .084" (2.1 mm). Slice thickness ranges from .040 to .100" (1.0 to 2.5 mm); Centers: .212" (5.4 mm).
Oval Shreds: This type of shred is approximately 1/8" (3.2 mm) thick and is somewhat oval-shaped in cross section.
Crescent Shred: Crescent-shaped cross section.
.070" (1.8 mm) Full Shred, .097" (2.5 mm) Full Shred, and .125" (3.2 mm) Full Shred: This type of shred is diamond in shape.
"V" Shred: "V"-shaped cross section.
Strip Cuts: Square or rectangular in cross section: 3/32" (2.4 mm), 3/16" (4.8 mm), 1/4" (6.35 mm), 3/8" (9.5 mm), 3/4" (19 mm).

Model OV Flat & Crinkle Slices

Flat & Crinkle Slices: A wide range from 1/16 to 1-3/4" (1.6 to 44.5 mm). When using crinkle knives, it is necessary to change the stainless steel shear edge.

TranSlicer 2500® Cutter Flat Slices

Flat slices ranging from 1/32–3-1/2" (0.8–88.9 mm) can be produced by using standard knives on the cutting wheel. Knives must be evenly spaced around wheel, three knives minimum.

Julienne Cuts

Julienne cuts ranging from 3/8 x 3/8"–3 x 2" (9.5 x 9.5 mm–76.2 x 50.8 mm) can be produced by using julienne knives on the cutting wheel.

Shreds

Shred cuts ranging from 3/8" (9.5 mm) to approximately 3" (76.2 mm) in length and 1/32–9/32" (.8–7.1 mm) in slice thickness can be produced by using a combination of julienne and slicing knives to make up the shredding wheel. Identical knives must be evenly spaced around the wheel to maintain correct balance.
