Carbonization units for soft drinks

What is measured and for what reason:

In carbonization units the product flow needs to be measured to define the dosing ratio for the carbon dioxide. The CO2-pressure and flow is also measured and use to control the system.

Why is it special:

Soft drinks need to have a stable content of carbon dioxide. This is part of the product quality with major impact on the taste of a product. Pressure is important to the CO2 in the liquid. If the pressure is not high enough, it will disappear again.

How can it be solved best:

The carbon dioxide flow needs to be very accurate. Here a Coriolis system is used usually. The product flow is mostly measured with an electromagnetic sensor. For the pressure measurement a Endress + Hauser Cerabar analog / gauge can be used.
